Abbymor Border Collies
is a small kennel at Highland Park on the Gold Coast.
We are a registered breeder with DOGS QLD and breed pure bred border collies for show, sports and pets.
Our breeding dogs are dna tested, hip and elbow scored and eye tested. We endeavour to breed sound, happy dogs which conform to the breed standard and we are very conscious of health issues in the breed. We therefore try our best to eliminate these health issues via dna testing and breeding responsibly. However, this is not to the detriment of losing the true border collie type.
Temperament is very important and puppies are carefully socialised. Our dogs live with us as our family and we exercise them daily as well as provide stimulus for their enquiring and active minds.
Our lines descend from the well-known Clan-Abby Border Collies in Queensland and New Zealand, Nahrof Border Collies in Sydney and Monlaird Border Collies from Victoria. These breeders are renown for excellent and responsible dog breeding of the highest quality and their dogs can be found around the world excelling at shows and sports.
We breed very rarely and for showing purposes. However, all dogs cannot be show dogs, so there is always puppies that are available to the right people as pets or for obedience, agility, herding, dancing, flyball, frizbee, etc
